Meeko is a pudgy Fox Terrier, about six years old. Knowing she was dying of cancer and only had a few more months to live, her owner had contacted Judy and asked her to find a home for her baby when the time was rigt. Sadly, she died just three days later. So Meeko is looking for a home where she will be loved and cared for.
Now, Meeko is a teeny bit over weight. Ok, I admit it, she's alot over weight. The vet says she needs to lose about 3 pounds. Uh huh, that's 30% of her current weight. Now, when my husband came home and saw Meeko, he said, "Good Grief! With that tiny head and big body, she looks like a tick!" Judy started laughing so hard I thought she'd fall off her chair!!!
Meeko is a really sweet girl. She is very easy-going, jumps up to go out every time I offer, settles right down when it's time, hangs out in the kitchen waaaaay too much..... You have got to watch this video of her playing with my dog Ralph. Keep in mind that Ralph is an 18 month, 50 pound bassett/lab mix. I am amazed at how Meeko will play with him. You kinda assume that a lass toting around this much weight isn't into fun and games! I think that at this rate she'll be a slim and trim thing in no time at all!
